Še vedno se pozna pridih igranja v zasedbah, a tokrat album dobiva čvrstejše ritmične dele in bobne, čeprav ostaja zvest aranžmajskim premetavanjem.
English please:
Years ago, bassist and producer Jan Franko moved from the band Inhibis to the world of fusion of electronica, hip-hop and IDM and took the stage name Frankly. Torn between his native Lendava and life in the capital, he published the pre-release "Bad Judgement" almost three years ago, which was quite well received on the domestic critical scene.
Since then, things have changed radically and concretely. Franko co-founded the local metal project Jolted and soon after started working on a new self-produced album. Apparently, he left some of the dark, ominous, obscurantist metal aesthetic behind in the creative process of Jolted, as his latest full-length "Life Encoder" is much brighter and more dynamic than his debut album. Wandering through the eclectic world of broken beats, instrumental hip-hop, ambient electronic sounds, moody IDM, dub extensions and organic guitar and bass lines resulted in concrete melodic IDM.
The album "Life Encoder" is a little more defined, but still retains its characteristic eclectic DNA. You can still feel the touch of playing in the bands, but this time the album gets firmer rhythmic parts and drums, although it remains faithful to the arrangements. Frankly's deviations still do not belong in the world of clichéd, conventional, expected and friendly "elevator" beats, but the album still features some less cold synthesizer inputs and slightly more defined soundscapes. A project for fans of wild, both dreamy and dark IDM creations, alternative hip-hop and broken rhythm with a soul of organicity, created according to Frankly, far from the usual beat molds.
